L-P sports complex ground-breaking ceremony planned for this afternoon

LASALLE-PERU – A ground-breaking for the next phase of development at the LaSalle-Peru Township High School Sports Complex will be held this afternoon. Community leaders and school officials will gather at 4 PM at the facility on Chartres Street to launch the $9.5 million project. The new addition will include four new tennis courts, baseball and softball diamonds, plus protective netting. Work is scheduled to begin as soon as possible and continue through the summer and fall.
