Nose picking could increase risk for Alzheimer’s and dementia

There’s a form of Clamydia that is linked to dementia, and scientists have found that you could be passing this to yourself through nose picking.  They believe that bacteria can bypass your bloodstream and through to your brain through your olfactory nerve.  This is the nerve that gives you a sense of smell.
Another study shows that amyloid beta proteins that cause Alzheimer’s disease can also be passed this way.
