Chicago Bears QB Mitch Trubisky sends letter, signed jersey to grieving family

Your “Daily Dose of Uplift” for August 3rd:
Any Bears fan knows Mitch Trubisky is a hot topic, but one can’t deny, even from the beginning, the man’s heart is always in the right place.
That shows once again when Trubisky sent a letter to the family of Jack Roche, who lost their son, a former Kansas football equipment manager in a car accident in July at just 21 years old. Roche was a huge Bears fan and lived in Chicago for a time.
“I’m so very sorry for your family’s loss. My deepest sympathies go out to you and your family. I got word that Jack was a huge Bears fan and also a fan of mine. I can’t tell you what that means to me,” Trubisky said in the letter.
Roche was a beloved part of the Kansas football program. The team released a statement as well:
“The KU Football Equipment Room won’t be the same without you. Going to miss my ‘seat buddy’ for road games and your infectious personality that you brought with you everyday,” said Trevor Pueblo, a Kansas football equipment assistant.”
Say what you want about Trubisky’s performance on field, but the guy is all class, through and through.
