Finally one of those studies I can get behind! I’m always tired, a lot of it is self inflicted. I’ve always been a night owl, never a morning person. My sleep schedule makes an afternoon nap essential to the day. Sometimes only a 20 minute nap will do the trick, other times a little bit longer. Now I do not have to feel bad about taking that afternoon nap, I’m just helping my heart! This new study found that people who take one or two naps a week had a lower risk of heart disease and strokes. Which means I must have one of the best hearts. The biggest reason they are good is because you catch up on sleep that you don’t get at night. So take that nap and if anyone says there’s something wrong with doing so, just tell them your helping your heart!
