Chicago woman charged after using fake money in LaSalle

LASALLE – A Chicago women was charged with forgery after allegedly attempting to use counterfeit money in LaSalle on Monday. According to LaSalle detective Lt. Mike Smudzinski, they were called to a local business for a report of a woman attempting to use a counterfeit hundred dollar bill. Smudzinski says the women attempted to use the bill at two different businesses and was successful at a third business. They arrested 21-year-old Davenique Ingram of Chicago on one count of forgery. She was transported to the LaSalle County Jail and was reportedly released on Tuesday.
