LISBON – A man who is wanted in connection with the shooting of a woman near Peoria is still at large after crashing in Kendall County. Thursday around 2:30 PM near Lisbon on Route 52, a silver car allegedly taken after a 25-year-old woman was shot in Canton, Illinois, crashed and the driver reportedly fled. A multi-agency team searched the surrounding fields and buildings until midnight, but no subject was found. Police say you should be on the lookout for 28-year-old Clarence M. Otis, whom they considered armed and dangerous. He has warrants issued for one count of aggravated battery with a firearm (Class X Felony) and one count of aggravated discharge of a firearm (Class 1 Felony). The Canton Police Department say that the victim of the shooting earlier Thursday is hospitalized, but her condition was not disclosed.
