Single dad adopts abandoned 13-year-old boy

Your “Daily Dose of Uplift” for March 4th:
Two years after being abandoned at a hospital, a 13-year-old boy has a new home with a single father!
Tony had been in foster care since he was two years old. He was adopted by an Oklahoma couple when he was four, but was abandoned after his parents left him at a hospital two years ago and never returned.
That’s when foster parent Peter Muatbazi entered his life on an unassuming weekend in 2018.
“Who would do that?,” Mutabazi said after learning of Tony’s story. “Once I knew the parents’ rights were signed off and he had nowhere to go, I knew I had to take him.”
Scrolling through Peter’s Instagram page, which is filled with photos of him and Tony, it’s nothing short of heartwarming to see these two bond and form their own family. Mutabazi summed it up pretty poignantly and honestly on his page:
“Truly a blessing to have you as my son, thank you for accepting me as your dad with all my faults, I strive daily to be a better dad. Thank you for hanging in there with me as I learn and grow.”
