Students in California took it upon themselves to help save a wildlife area, where they enjoyed watching livestreams of a bald eagle habitat. The area has been threatened by a potential housing development.
They wrote letters to family, influencers, and celebrities, trying to raise the $10 million needed to prevent the area from being bulldozed. The students have also been raising money on their own, by doing bake sales . . . lemonade stands . . . and even making bald eagle origamis.
And they ARE moving the needle. The campaign to save the area has raised around $3 million, which is 30% of the $10 million goal.
