A woman with multiple sclerosis just became the first person to complete the entire 1,000-kilometer Munda Biddi Trail in a wheelchair. If you didn’t know, it’s one of the world’s longest off-road cycling routes. (1,000 kilometers is 621 miles.)
Her name is Clare Reilly, and she navigated forests, mountains, and sand using a power-assisted wheelchair. She called the journey exhausting but rewarding . . . and she hopes her achievement raises awareness for MS research.
