April 30 is National Therapy Animal Day and in Hawaii a certified therapy dog is making people smile all over Hawaii. She’s a Bernedoodle that works with Hawaii Life Flight. She regularly visits medical crews across the islands, providing emotional support during their high-pressure jobs.
Her handlers say the dog’s presence reminds first responders they’re not alone.
