A retired seamstress has been running a “teddy bear hospital” from her home for nearly 20 years. Her name is Ruth Hasman and she restores stuffed animals back to their former glory.
She fixes everything from missing eyes to wear-and-tear . . . she even hunts through thrift stores to try and match original fabrics. Many of the toys she fixes are family heirlooms, including one teddy bear that’s 115 years old and was loved by five generations.
