“The Washington Post” did a big write-up on a group of high-schoolers in Virginia who fix up old cars and give them to single moms.
Around two dozen kids work on cars each semester as part of the school’s auto-repair program. It’s sponsored by a charity called Giving Words. They’ve been doing it for eight years and donate around five cars per year.
