Have you ever heard of a “tuneless choir”? A woman on Vancouver Island in Canada just started two of them. They’re choirs of people who SUCK at singing.
There are 30 in England. The first one formed 10 years ago next month. A woman named Sharon Marnell has led three of them there, and recently relocated to Vancouver Island.
She says she’s seen how powerful singing is, even if you can’t carry a tune. Quote, “Many of the members avoided singing for decades because someone told them they were tone deaf. But joining in with tuneless, that didn’t matter. They sang their hearts out.” She says for some, “it was life changing.”
