After 974 days in foster care, a boy in Tennessee got adopted just in time for Christmas. His name is Khaza, and he’ll be three this spring. A couple named Anna and Brenden Koon stepped in as foster parents when he was 18 days old.
The plan was to reunite him with his biological mom someday, but then that couldn’t happen. They say they’ve thought of him as their own kid for a while now, so it was just a formality.
The adoption went through December 19th. A bunch of friends and family showed up to court for it, so it was like a big party.
