Random Encounter Leads to Diagnosis

daily-dose-of-uplift-2

A cameraman for “CTV News” in Canada is undergoing a life-changing treatment, all thanks to a random encounter he had while out on assignment.

He was putting a microphone on a neurosurgeon when she saw his hands shaking and said, “I can FIX that.”  He’s been suffering from a neurological condition called essential tremor since he was a teenager.

She told him he’d need multiple surgeries to put electrodes in his brain.  He recently had surgery to stop the shaking in his left hand, and he’ll have another for his right hand before the end of the year.

The first surgery worked, and his left hand is almost totally steady now.  He told the surgeon she saved his life, and his career.
