A local news station in Minneapolis did a big story on two siblings named Susan and Jeffrey Bergeman, who just graduated from high school this year.
He’s confined to a wheelchair, and she didn’t want him to miss out on stuff. So she ran cross-country in high school for four years and brought him along for all of her races. She pushed him in his chair so he could be part of it, and also pushed him across the stage at their graduation this spring.
She’s now running cross-country at college, and says she runs every race FOR him instead of with him now. She’s studying to be a physician’s assistant.
