Streator resident asks community for support on butterfly habitat proposal

STREATOR – A Streator woman plans to present her request for monarch butterfly habitats in front of the city’s park board on Wednesday. The Monarch Ways Station proposal by Nina Vaughn would help protect the local butterfly population, beautify the town, and aims to encourage tourism. Vaughn is encouraging the community to support the proposal at the Streator Parks & Open Spaces Meeting tonight at 6 p.m.
