An Arizona State Trooper rescued an injured hawk hopping around State Route 77 in Oro Valley, Arizona after seeing the bird was struggling to fly.
Trooper Perrin successfully used his raincoat to capture it and place it in the back of his patrol vehicle. He took it to a local wildlife center in Tucson.
“The hawk is doing well and healing from a broken wing,” the Tucson Wildlife Center reported on May 17th.
Once rehabbed, the hawk will be released back into the wild — with big thanks to the assistance of Trooper Perrin.
