New inspection procedures in place for Deer hunters this season

SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Natural Resources announced that new procedures will be put into place at the check stations across the state during deer season this year due to COVID-19. Hunters are asked to stay in their vehicles and encouraged to arrive with their deer positioned so that the head and neck are accessible. Also, hunters will be asked to wear a face mask at all times when out of their vehicle at the check station. Hunters will be encouraged to leave as soon as their deer has been checked. In LaSalle County the check station will be at Buffalo Rock State Park from 8 AM – 8 PM November 20-22 and December 3-6.
