Police officer stops driver for brake-lights, promptly fixes the electrical problem

Your “Daily Dose of Uplift” for July 16th:
Jesse McFadden of Montana was on his way to a job interview when he was pulled over after both his brake-lights went out.
McFadden was understandably worried, but the cop just came up to his window and said, “I just want you to know that your brake lights are out.”
He then asked McFadden to open his trunk.
The officer tapped the brake-lights to no avail. The officer then asked McFadden to pop the hood and, for the next several minutes, toggled underneath the dashboard and under the hood in order to get the brake-lights to work. End of story, he got them working and sent McFadden on his way.
“He could’ve easily given me a ticket, but Officer Jenkins stepped out of his police officer role — and into mechanic role and really kind human role to make sure I was safe,” McFadden said.
