Woman who lost her job receives card with $1,000 from anonymous person

Your “Daily Dose of Uplift” for May 1st:
Dorea Williams of Dekalb County, Georgia was left breathless when she went to her mailbox and found an unmarked envelope with two $500 money orders inside. She thought it was a scam at first.
Williams just lost her job, and found a note in the envelope that read: “Please take care of yourself and remember that others are thinking of you. Hoping that every day brings you a little more strength, hope, and comfort. Be blessed. Anonymous.”
She took the money orders to a local credit union and found they were indeed legitimate.
Williams has been waiting on her unemployment benefits for weeks, so this unexpected lump-sum couldn’t have come at a better time.
“I don’t know what I did or what impact I might have made on their life at some point for them to want to do something like this or maybe God just spoke to them and told them to do something like this for me, but I’m very, very grateful. Thank you so much,” Williams said.
