Your “Daily Dose of Uplift” for March 10th:
Students at Ramapo High School decided to chip in to help their teacher Mr. Barber after he had a rough week following a head injury he sustained with his daughter. They collectively pitched in to buy him opening day tickets for the New York Yankees.
“You are all getting A’s,” he humorously told the class when they gifted him the tickets.
But that’s not at all. The Yankees saw the video on TikTok, gave Barber tickets for game two, AND offered to give a bundle of tickets for the students in the class.
“I can’t teach you anymore,” Mr. Barber told his students, humbled. “You’ve learned what’s important in life.”
I’m a big believer in showing love to educators and professors. I still keep in contact with many of my own. Whenever you get an opportunity to show them you appreciate them, do it. You won’t regret it.
