A boy with down syndrome’s dance routine leaves judges in tears

Your “Daily Dose of Uplift” for January 28th:
There are thousands of people who perform before judges on a yearly basis, but only few manage to inspire tears…
That’s exactly what 21-year-old Andrew did on a BBC dance competition program. Born with down syndrome and the self-proclaimed “Captain of Dance,” Andrew waited for his opportunity to wow judges with his performance, a mix of ballet and ballroom moves. He got a reaction greater than I’m sure even he anticipated.
I’ll be blunt and say I don’t think I’d ever have the gumption nor confidence to perform before an audience face-to-face in such a capacity. I greatly admire performers of all sorts for that reason, and to see this brand of inspirational content never gets old.
