More Americans went to the library than the movies in 2019

Your “Daily Dose of Uplift” for January 27th:
As much as I adore the experience of going to the movie theater, and want everyone to feel the same as well, this is nonetheless great news to me!

For about five years now, I go to the library once a week to check out movies, CDs, and books. It’s an unbelievable resource with events and readings happening pretty consistently. Not to mention, it’s a quiet place to think and sometimes, frankly, just exist, which we all need in an increasingly busy world.
If you haven’t been in a while, consider going to the library, either by yourself, or with your loved ones. I’m willing to bet you won’t regret it.
