Hunting season begins! Get your deer tested for CWD at these local sites

SPRINGFIELD – Deer hunters statewide in Illinois are encouraged to allow samples to be taken for chronic wasting disease testing from adult deer they harvest. In LaSalle County, the following sites are currently serving as self-serve drop-off sites where hunters can fill out a sample submission card and leave adult deer heads:
Matthiessen State Park in the Dells Area and the I & M Canal Seneca Grain Elevator, Monday through Sunday. Drop-offs will be accepted through January 20th, 2020.
