PEORIA – A man has died while bicycling late Friday evening after being struck by a car. Peoria Police say the 31-year-old Tavari S. Armstrong was riding south on Western Avenue when he reportedly turned eastward onto Millman Street just before midnight when he was hit by a car. Armstrong was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities say alcohol was not a factor and no tickets have been issued.
