$1.2 million in water and sewage improvements coming to North Central Illinois through state grant

PRINCETON – The Community Development Block Grant Program has awarded over $1.2 million in funds to improve public infrastructure in three North Central Illinois Communities. The Village of Mineral will receive $451,800 for waste water treatment facility improvements. The City Princeton is receiving $406,910 for Sanitary Sewer replacement on Marion Street. The Village of Sparland is receiving $424,000 for water system improvements. The program is only eligible to cities with less than 50,000 in population and counties with less than 200,000 residents.
