Your “Daily Dose of Uplift” for April 21st:
Kyle West, also known as “Mailman Kyle”, is a USPS worker in Ohio, and as of late, he’s been adding on to the workload of his route by delivering supplies to his elderly neighbors. Throughout the pandemic, he’s been delivering items such as milk and toilet paper to individuals that are leery of going to the store.
“My favorite guy came out and asked me if I could please get him toilet paper. From then I realized that some people just can’t do it themselves,” Kyle said.
That motivated Kyle to extend an invitation in the form of a flyer to those on his route, and since then, he’s heard from nearly everyone he’s offered to help.
“The turnout has been a lot more than I expected,” West said. “I delivered a little under 400 of those notes and I’ve heard something from pretty much every person,” Kyle added.
People like Kyle are the ones who keep America running by simply going a bit above and beyond the call of duty and helping others. A little selflessness goes a long way in times of duress.
