A crossing guard in Chicago named Joe Sass went viral this weekend after he was seen CARRYING kids across an icy street.
A water main broke near an elementary school, and it mixed with the snow. A news helicopter was covering it when they spotted him tossing kids on his shoulder, so their shoes didn’t get wet.
WGN brought him into the studio for an interview on Friday. He said he’s been a crossing guard for about five years, and he’s known some of the kids since they were really young.
