A town in South Carolina just lived up to its motto in a big way.  St. George is about halfway between Charleston and Augusta. Their motto is “The Town of Friendly People.”

They’re in the news after someone spotted a homeless guy and his dog stranded out in the cold last month.  The person posted a photo on a community Facebook page and asked people to help the guy out if they saw him.

Other people in town immediately came out of the woodwork.  They got him a hotel room for the week . . . bought his dog a winter coat . . . and a local stylist gave him a free haircut.  In the end, more than 70 people pitched in to help him.
