STREATOR – A student-based music festival is back for its 6th consecutive year this month in Streator. The 2022 Poco a Poco music festival will have a fully in-person series of events from June 18th through the 25th for high school-aged youth. Festival-goers will have the choice of taking private voice lessons, attending and singing in choirs and concerts, and even taking private instrument lessons. Founder and Streator-native Kate Tombaugh says students will be able to pick and choose electives and courses according to their interests in music. This year, there will be two performance opportunities, a community choir and a string ensemble for musicians and vocalists of all ages.
