Merely two days after Debby-Neal Strickland married Jim Merthe, Debby donated a kidney to James’ ex-wife Mylaen Merthe.
Mylaen, 59, had long struggled with kidney disease. By the time she was admitted to the hospital in November, her kidneys were only functioning at 8%.
Debby looked past any differences her and Mylaen might’ve had upon realizing she was a match. The kidney transplant was scheduled for two days after Jim and Debby tied the knot.
