Nurse inspires COVID-19 patients by playing violin


Your “Daily Dose of Uplift” for July 9th:
Twice a week, 26-year-old nurse Damaris Silva returns to the COVID-19 ward at the El Pino Hospital in Santiago and treats patients to some soft, soothing music with her violin. Silva’s been doing this to inspire faith, hope, and love in patients during their trying bouts of the virus.
“As soon as I walk in the patients brighten, they seem happier; they smile and applaud,” she told Reuters.
