The streaming search engine Reelgood has released a list of the top TV shows people have been watching for the first time since March 16th, roughly when the effects of the global pandemic began to be felt by many Americans. Coming out on top was Ozark and Tiger King, two shows that have commanded a lot of publicity on social media over the last couple months. Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul also appeared on the list.
If anything, a little bit of a surprise, to me, was the lack of feel-good shows outside of The Office and Stranger Things. Over the last several weeks, I’ve been revisiting some of my favorite shows, such as Recess and South Park as a source of comfort. I watch more movies than new TV shows, but try to keep tabs on what’s trending to stay “hip” or close to it.
