Your “Daily Dose of Uplift” for April 1st:
Janitors and custodians are the glue that holds our society together. Remove them from the national — or even global — picture for a week, and you wouldn’t have a functioning country.
This is why I almost get tears in my eyes seeing videos like this. A hospital cleaning staff in Barcelona was shocked when they emerged into the hallways and found nurses, doctors, and practitioners treating them to a moving round of applause. The move caught the cleaning crew off guard, and no surprise, some tears were shed.
Give it up for these hard-working individuals working night and day during times of crisis to keep us safe and keep our workspaces clean!
