Marijuana entrepreneur asked to refile permit with the city of LaSalle

LASALLE – A local business owner will have to refile with the city of LaSalle to be considered for a special use permit to operate a recreational cannabis dispensary. Andrew Martinez, owner of Drewski’s in Peru, will be given another chance to compel council toward allowing a recreational marijuana business in the city’s downtown. An ordinance granting Martinez a special use permit, was on Monday night’s agenda, however alderman and Mayor Grove felt he lacked a business plan to present to the city.
