Zearing Scholarship awarded to five In Bureau County

PRINCETON- This year’s recipients of the Zearing Scholarship were announced and will receive $4,000 for use at the University of Illinois.  Recipients may renew their scholarship for a total of four years, provided they continue to meet the eligibility criteria specified on the application.  The total value of each award could reach $16,000.  Robert I. and Delyte K. Zearing established in their Trusts the annual distribution of scholarships to outstanding student
s who will be attending the University of Illinois. 

The scholarship winners are graduates of Bureau Valley and Princeton High Schools and will attend the U of I in Urbana-Champaign.   Recipients include:

Shannon Cotter of Bradford, daughter of John and Theresa Cotter. Shannon is a 2020 graduate ofPrinceton High School.

Elijah Crouch of Princeton, son of Ryan and Amy Crouch. Eli is a 2020 graduate of Princeton High School.

Branden Haring of Princeton, son of Kirk and Amy Haring. Branden is a 2020 graduate of Princeton High School.

Caroline Konneck of Sheffield, daughter of Scott and Dana Konneck.  Caroline is a 2020 graduate of Bureau Valley High School.

Keeley Robinson of Princeton, granddaughter of Sheila Robinson.  Keeley is a 2020 graduate of Princeton High School.

Since the first scholarships given in 1992, over $1.3 million dollars have been awarded.
