WWII Sailor’s Remains Identified as Peru Man

LASALLE – The remains of a World War II Veteran who died in the Pearl Harbor attack has been identified as a Peru man. 22-year-old Adolf J. Loebach was a Navy Fire Controlman 3rd Class who was killed on the USS Oklahoma during the 1941 attack after the ship capsized from torpedo hits. Scientists were able to identify Loebach’s remains more than forty years after his death by dental and DNA analysis. He will be buried in LaSalle on December 19th.
