WYANET – A multi-agency search Monday night in Bureau County located a 64-year old woman who was reported missing earlier in the day. According to authorities, the woman’s husband stated that she had a medical condition and had apparently left the house at some point and was nowhere to be found. Around 6 PM Wyanet Fire and Rescue, Bureau County EMA, Christian Aide Ministries Search and Rescue, Bureau County Sheriff’s Office, Salvation Army and a helicopter owned by Jason Marquis conducted a search of the area. Just before midnight she was located at the bottom of a 70 foot ravine about a half mile from her home. She was taken via Life Flight to a Peoria Hospital for her injuries. Wyanet Police Chief Todd Marquez noted that the family is very appreciative and thankful for the volunteers and the community who came out to bring their loved one home.
