OTTAWA – A winter storm warning is in effect this weekend for LaSalle County. According to NWS Meotorilogist, Jake Petr heavy wet snow is likely along with wind gusts up to 30 mph.
Petr says from LaSalle down to Streator is expected to bear the brunt of the snow with 5-8 inches, and points south and west of the area is expected to get 3-6 inches. The National Weather Service stresses that the worst conditions for LaSalle County will occur from 5pm to midnight on Saturday. Lingering travel impact into Sunday morning is expected.
