OTTAWA – A winter weather advisory that goes into effect at 3 PM could bring up to an inch of snow and sleet to the area. The National Weather Service predicts between Tuesday afternoon through mid-morning on Wednesday, travel on roadways throughout North Central Illinois could be impacted by the first winter storm of the season. Heavy snow is predicted at times combined with gusty winds could hamper visibility, and the possibility of freezing rain, especially after dark, could make for slippery driving conditions.
