OTTAWA – Polling places in LaSalle County have been moved due to precautionary measures against the coronavirus. County Clerk Lori Bongartz reports that Heritage Woods and Pleasant View Lutheran will no longer be polling places, as the nursing homes are taking precautions against the spread of illness. Instead, voters who normally go to Heritage Woods will cast their ballot in the basement of LaSalle County’s Courthouse and voters from Pleasant View will now vote at the Save-A-Lot in Ottawa.
Due to availability the following precincts have moved polling places: South Ottawa 1 through 4 will vote at Ottawa’s UAW Center, LaSalle precincts 1 through 3 will vote at Flamingo Banquet Hall, LaSalle 10 and 13 at Oglesby’s Elks Lodge and Mendota 6 at the Mendota Civic Center.
Early voting continues through Monday, at the LaSalle County Governmental Center.
