MENDOTA – Visitation is scheduled for Thursday evening for a Mendota teen who passed away Sunday. Benjamin Bokus was heavily involved in sports at Mendota High School, where he graduated from in 2018. Former Mendota High Football Coach Brock Sondgeroth said Monday that “Ben will always stand out in my mind as a great human being, he wasn’t just an athlete, he was a great student, a great person of character, a great teammate, and a great leader. He will not be forgotten, he affected the lives of many individuals in so many different ways, God gained a great one!”
The nineteen year-old was diagnosed with Leukemia shortly after graduation. Visitation is set for Thursday from 4 – 8 p.m. at Holy Cross Church in Mendota, with services on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Church.
