STREATOR – Two Streator male juveniles were taken into custody early Sunday morning after a report of vehicles allegedly being entered. In a release by the Streator Police Department, officers were called to the 1100 block of Madison Street and located a 17-year-old and a 15-year-old. The 17-year-old was charged with cannabis possession and the 15-year-old was charged with theft. Later in the morning unlocked vehicles were discovered missing items in the 200 block of East 4th Street, 300 block of Stanton Street, 800 block of North Park Street, and the 500 block of James Street. Streator Police Chief Kurt Pastirik advises everyone to make it a habit to check if your vehicle is locked every night and to keep valuables out of sight.
