DWIGHT – A business caught fire on Sunday and over twenty fire departments responded in battling the blaze. No injuries were reported in downtown Dwight after a fire began around 6 PM in the 100 block of South Franklin Street. A multiple box alarm was sounded due to the proximity to other buildings, however, the fire was brought under control and the cause remains under investigation. Responding departments included Odell FD, Mazon FD, Braceville FD, Morris FD, Limestone FD, Herscher FD, Salina FD, Saunemin FD, Reddick FD, Fairbury FD, Coal City FD, Pontiac FD, Seneca FD, Essex FD, Braidwood FD, Minooka FD, Channahon FD, Troy FD, Wilmington FD, Elwood FD, Duffy AMB, SELCAS AMB, and AMT AMB.
