STREATOR – A Streator woman has been arrested after allegedly being caught attempting to burglarize a home on Thursday. According to the Streator Police Department, a homeowner in the 400 block of W. Bluff Street reported that 28-year-old Kjersten Minkler had entered their home and fled after being confronted. Police say Minkler was later located and arrested. Approximately one hour prior to the call, police say they were dispatched to the 100 block of W. Bluff Street, where another homeowner reported someone had entered their home, and after being confronted by the homeowner, the subject fled. That incident is still pending investigation. Minkler was charged with residential burglary and is being held at the LaSalle County Jail.
