STREATOR – The City of Streator continues to follow closely Governor Pritzker’s “Stay at Home” order to limit the spread of COVID-19 through April 30th. All playgrounds in Streator remain closed. In addition, the City has closed all ball fields, shelters and the dog park. Anderson Fields golf course remains closed. Streator parks and trails are open only for walking. People may not congregate in parks for any purpose.
Streator City Council and Plan Commission will continue to conduct public meetings, however the City has arranged for citizens to listen and participate in meetings through a telephone conference call system. Persons wanting to attend city meetings via telephone should dial (888) 386-8750 immediately prior to or during the scheduled meeting. Once connected, the participant passcode is: 25778703.
Streator City Hall remains closed for in-person sewer bill collections and non-essential services through April. Although the City does not encourage customers to leave their homes only to pay their sewer bills, the drive-through window at City Hall has reopened to accept sewer bill payments during normal operating hours. The City will not impose late payment penalties for utility bill non-payment until May 1.
