Streator man and cousin charged in armed robbery in Lisle

WHEATON – Bond is denied for a Streator man and his cousin who allegedly robbed a Lisle Verizon store at gunpoint. According to the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office and the Lisle Police Department, bond is denied for 24-year-old’s Ezekiel Thompson of Streator and Arron Thompson 24 of Aurora. Police say over the weekend, the cousins allegedly entered a Verizon store in lisle armed, robbing the lone store employee of 60 cell phones and other electronics. It is also alleged that after the employee complied, the men reportedly bound the employee with zip ties, stole his wallet and car keys and allegedly fled the scene in the employee’s car. Both Thompson’s face multiple charges are being held at the Dupage County Jail.
