Streator High School receives ‘commendable’ rating

STREATOR – Streator Township High School was rated commendable in an annual report released by the Illinois State Board of Education. Illinois Report Card’s summary designation measures the progress in academic performance and student success through four categories: exemplary, commendable, under-performing and lowest performing. Streator High School’s rating means that the school has no underperforming student groups and a graduation rate greater than 67 percent. Principal Amy Jo Mascal says a big factor in the ranking was the freshman on track, a primary focus of the high school for the last few years.
