MINONK – An Illinois State Trooper was injured Thursday after a Wisconsin driver struck a patrol car in a construction zone on I-39. Authorities say a 71-year-old man from Menomonee Falls was traveling northbound near Minonk around 1 PM in Woodford County when for unknown reason he allegedly veered across the center line and struck a construction barrel before sideswiping the trooper’s parked vehicle. The Patrol Officer was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The Wisconsin man was charged with Failure to Yield to a Stationary Emergency Vehicle, better known as Scott’s Law.
